<i>Amabie</i> is a mermaid/merman like creature from Japanese legend, who is said to be a prophet of either an abundant harvest or some sort of big epidemic. People Think they should make copies of it in order to defend against getting sick. Because of that, sightings of Amabie pictures during covid increased a lot.
