So this paper in 1906 was saying the cool thing to do at Garden Parties was to dress up in Japanese kimonos and get lanterns and do the Japanesy thing. So thats what these Western women are doing. Japan-geeks from more than a 100 years ago. I suppose they werent anime fans yet, but give them a time machine and they would be.
