I recently learned that the 'manicule punctuation mark' is a real thing, and that it simply faded away. We still have our question marks, and exclamation marks but the manicule marks of this world are almost extinct. You can still find some in unicode (U+261E ☞) but they are mostly too clean and perfect for my tastes. And that's manicule NOT manicure!
