This was inspired by other examples on this site of overlapping rectangles.<br /> The new versions are of:<br /> 1. on the left a nomral Celtic Knot<br /> 2. on the right a with over/under structure that is often used for threading ribbons.<br /> In Inkscape, the Ungroup option allows individual areas (closed profiles) to be selected and filled with any colour that is wanted.
